William is 18 years old and like many people in the UK struggles with blindness. There are over 2 million people living with sight difficulties of one form or another and this creates emotional issues as well as depression and anxiety and unnecessary stress compounded on top of what is already a massive shock to those who have had sight and then lose it.
William is raising funds for Help See the Blind (HSTB) which is an ongoing portal being developed for the UK Blind community.
HSTB together with other organisations such as The Scottish Crannog Centre and leading experts in braille and education wants to further develop a range of innovative tools and services to enable a blind person and or their families to reach their full potential through education and real life help and advice.
Being Blind is something that sighted people can not fathom or understand. But we see being blind as an enablement for opportunity and we need your help.
This project will link into other blind products and services across the UK to begin with and provide guidance and clear understanding on how to cope with loss of sight and provide access to helpful grants for education as well as communication tools and a range of merchandise for the community in braille.
HSTB will provide Braille education working with experts in this field and provide a wide range of day to day living benefits and opportunities through a new blind gift card called Gifted.
Williams Just Giving Page is aiming to raise £25,000 by attempting two world records and your support will greatly enable this to happen for him.
