Blind Perthshire Teen is inspired to raise money for Help See The Blind

‘Help See the Blind’, a new initiative to make it easier for the blind & their carers to find support, education and employment.

In August, on the deep dark waters of Loch Tay, a blind teenager will attempt his first World Record in the icy cold water to become the fastest blind stand up paddle boarder; to prove it, he has to wear a blindfold. Stand up paddleboarding is difficult anyway, never mind blind. William is raising funds to support a new central communications system for the blind called Help See The Blind. This will make it easier for the blind and their carers to find support, education and employment.

Will is training for this gruelling event with the support of David Fox-Pitt MBE, ex-SAS regiment and founder of WildFox Events Ltd, and pro-SUP boarder Ross Dempster of Beyond Adventure, Aberfeldy.
